After getting a glimpse of the “Orange” yesterday, we’re now taking our very first look at the Grateful Dead x Nike SB dunk low “Yellow”. The third of five potential colourways releasing as part of the collaboration with the ’60s rock band, these pay homage to the Grateful Dead Bears – a series of dancing bears that were drawn by Bob Thomas for the group’s 1973 “History of the Grateful Dead, volume One” album.
Images courtesy of sneaker insider @thisischickenwop, the “Yellow” is painted in a vibrant yellow hue as well as crafted from a multitude of premium materials. With a fuzzy base, buttery smooth suede panels make their way along the ankle as well as lacing system, while a canvas Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral as well as medial side panels, total with a rough jagged design.

A vintage font takes over the “Nike” branding at the heel, as well as a pocket features inside the fat tongue so you can store your secret stash. To round it all off, GD’s signature lightning bolt motif hits the back of the tongue, finalising the show stopping aesthetic.
Set to decrease on June 27th, we’re not completely sure if the Grateful Dead x Nike SB dunk low collab will release all at once, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole supplier for much more news as it develops! While you’re here, you may as well get up close as well as personal with the the Nike SB dunk low “Denim Gum”!
